Harvey Lentil
Hometown: Markham, Ontario
Listed Style: "Chun Kuk Do", Baguazhang, & Twin Dragon Kickboxing/Kung Fu (though nobody really knows his style if he even has one)
Refers to his style as "Combat expressionism" combining the techniques from some the most esoteric martial arts around
Age:
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 155 lbs.
Occupation: "Martial" Artist (Does demonstrations combining dance, martial arts, and expressionism) and stage combat director at Rapier Wit in Toronto
Manager/Coach: Kevin & Wayne McPhee
Affiliation: Toronto PitFighting Alliance
Biography: Harvey Lentil grew up in Markham Ontario, one of the few people of White European descent in an area dominated by Chinese people. Harvey was like that scrawny nerdy artsy kid you always remember from high school but knew nothing about because he never talked to anyone. Harvey was a genius when it came to making plays combining dance, mime, commedia dell'Arte and martial arts all in one. Harvey is a self professed lover of Chinese culture and has incorporated many Chinese martial arts into his routine even earning local Wushu titles along the way (and being proud that he received training in martial arts most people didn't even know existed) His favorite though is apparently Baguazhang, a particular fan of its twirling circular movements. If you want to contact Harvey wait around at any theatre in the Greater Toronto Area and you should find him. Harvey is more than game to do a "showcase" at any event, especially if it is no holds barred PitFighting.
Combat Attire: Andy Warhol look alike black pants and white turtle neck with black Kung Fu shoes
Theme Song: Pick any theme used in the 1960s Spiderman cartoon www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoN2UrrjifI
Fighter Attributes/Strategy
Harvey Lentil has a diverse arsenal consisting of a blend between various trips, punches, and kicks. Make no mistake about it he can transition from a simple movement to a sudden lightning fast strike in a second, his combination of artistic Wushu, kickboxing/Sanshou, and the linear in and out footwork of fencing is certainly a unique combination in the realm of PitFighting that most people aren't prepared for. Harvey mostly relies on trying to be as unpredictable as possible to disrupt the rhythm and timing of his opponents. Harvey plays the mental game with his opponents who underestimate his Spencer Rice or Pablo Garza esque physique (but few know that he actually has a winning record in kickboxing, local unauthorized backyard/Dairy Queen parking lot Pitfighting and Sanshou competition). Fellow PitFighter and traditional martial arts specialist Louis Brown has described Harvey Lentil as one of the most technical yet simultaneously awkward as hell fighters he has ever faced in NHB competition (earning him quite the reputation in regional PitFighting circuits).
